Let us be this moment

Let us forget pass and future

Let this moment be

Let now be adored

So, what do you do when it rains for three months straight? Well for some skateboarders the answer is easy; you take over your classroom and find a more productive use for the stage equipment. The benefits are many; going to school becomes fun, your other mates come chill at your school with you, and all the camera and lighting gear one would ever want is right at your access. Just imagine if teachers tuned in and worked out that skateboarding can get kids to school.

What else has been going on for the last few days, hmmmm, not a lot. Just lots of meditation, lots thinking love, working on my book a little bit and expanding the mind where I can lol. There is very little work going on at White Monkey at the moment. All the feature films generally don’t start up in Vancouver till spring. So I have been putting my feelers out to attract another sweet job, it’s going to be hard to find a job that tops creating movie props.

You know, this world is such an amazing and providing place. Think about this; the very fact that you are alive and reading this means, you have exactly everything you need to live.

I’m not looking over the fence here, lots of people have a bunch of shit they do or don’t need, and sure you probably got a picture of what you want or an idea that if you have this or that you will be happy. Vise versa, if you loose this or that you will be unhappy.

We live with questions like “what’s going to happen to me”, but reality is. What will be will be, and what you think you will create.

A lot of people would not believe this, some even take offence to this, your situation my not be comfortable or healthy etc, and I wish you love if this is you. However this is all part of your situation.

Good or bad things happen, I just dropped the illusion that life is meant to be a happy place etc. Life is just what it is. And if we process life with our mind, what’s to stop your mind creating your life how you wish it to be?

Lend all your energy and thinking only to that which you wish your life to be full of.

Hello again.

Just put up these pics from a Saturday session. Four boards got destroyed at the one spot, bunch of tricks got landed and a whole heap of footage got filmed.

Apart form skating, very little has been going on. Fingers crossed that my work gets some jobs soon, not making money is a concerning feeling. Vancouver is extremely warm at the moment and has been for several weeks now. The ski hills are looking miserable and with the Olympics only weeks away hopefully things will change.

Peace

Hello Hello.

Just put up some leftover pics from today’s skate.

Life is fantastic, been eating the best meals cooked by my beautiful room-mate Anita, and have been back at work all this week. We are continuing to enjoy the most unimaginably good warm dry weather for January in Vancouver and a whole bunch of skateboarding has been getting done around this city.

Hello Beautiful people. It’s been an extremely busy week we just had. Actually, perhaps it was not to busy, just seems I move a lot more chilled these days. From my perspective half the time everyone else is on speed or just tripping balls on things that don’t require so much effort or thinking. Any way, that should tell you that life is a great thing, the weather is warm, there’s no snow, lots of work and lots of fun free time.

I discovered last week that Vancouver has awesome indoor lap pools complete with the hottest of hot tubs and steam rooms, so the plan is to sit it out till summer in the hot tub. Hopefully it might help to take some of the paint from my lungs, and after a full day swinging a spray gun the idea of soaking seems like heaven.

Have not done a great deal of skateboarding this week other than the below photos. Given work and the rain, I have taken to walking around Vancouver with the Leica and Xpan. Everything seems fresh again with all the preparation for the Olympics, which mind you there is still no snow at all.

So life is great, shooting lots, creating lots, meeting lots of beautiful people.

Peace and Blessings.

Australia and Japan

Well hello again.  I have been spending time in Australia and Japan with friends and family and basically have had other experiences on my plate, so the web site has taken back stage to say the least.

It was rad to be back in Australia catching the end of summer, got some amazing hot day skateboarding and beach sessions in amongst the torrential monsoon rain that belted the coast for most of the month.

Apart from skateboarding, the opportunity to lead two talks and meditations at the “Harmony in Life Centre” came my way. It was good fun and definitely another eye opening stage in life. On reflection how far meditation has bought me and how much of a positive impact it has had in such a short time, it’s good to see many young people are getting in touch with meditation worldwide.

On other things, I upgraded my kit to the new Canon 1Dmk4, and the Canon 5Dmk2. The 5D is such an amazing quality camera. The 1D has its “so so” points, but Canon has not done a great deal of upgrade on the 1D except for the HD video capability. Any way, we have been giving both cameras bit of a slogging here in Japan.

So Vancouver had bit or a warm winter to say the least. Some core to the heart Snowboarders loaded up three trucks with cuttings from the Ice Rinks and we hit up this rail. Scotty Synch.
